This week in the comments

Lore videos steal the spotlight
~30% of this week's comments thank the lore video creator: many are discovering the series through them, a few find real comfort in them. A far more personal tone than earlier periods.
Capcom, still on a roll
~12% of comments praise Capcom's pace and quality, sometimes against rival studios. The refrain is unchanged since the announcement.
Antarctica: someone get them coats
~5% of the discussion: commenters joke about the lack of cold-weather clothing and hope for a fuller Antarctic section. Light but recurring.
Physical release worries linger
~8% of comments ask for a physical copy or collector's edition, a few saying no disc means no purchase. The topic looks here to stay.
RE5 waits in the wings
~7% of comments hope for RE5, RE0 or Revelations remakes, with some betting on a continued run of remakes.
Top reactions and controversies
Capcom on a historic run
Dominant takeA pillar of the corpus: commenters say Capcom has delivered hit after hit since RE7 at an unheard-of pace. "Generational run" and "banger" keep coming up, often against rival studios.
Claire is finally back
Dominant takeThe core emotion after the reveal: seeing Claire Redfield lead again, with her RE2 Remake face and a surprise Hunk cameo. Many mention tears and a dream come true.
The boulder joke
Dominant takeThe "boulder rolled through here" line is the reveal's meme: commenters read it as a nod to Chris's boulder punch in RE5 and applaud the self-aware humor.
Fidelity vs. modernization
ControversyFans fear RE3 Remake-style cuts and worry Alfred and Steve will be toned down. Others want flaws fixed; some say "no changes at all".
First or third person?
ControversyThe first-person trailer splits opinion: many demand third person or a choice as in RE9, others see a stylistic teaser choice. A minority loves first person.
The end of physical?
ControversyAccording to commenters, the release would be disc-less, sparking anger, collector grief and boycott threats. Others hope for a reversal or mention buying on Switch 2.
