This week in the comments
A quiet week: 38 sampled comments, nearly all with zero likes, and a mood split between hype and doubts. The art-style debate leads, while calls for ports and re-releases keep coming.
Art style still rubs people the wrong way
~18% of this week's comments say it isn't Castlevania enough: too comic-like, too close to Dead Cells, or not pixel art. Several add they're "still hyped" anyway.
Price raises eyebrows
~8% of this week's comments mention price: one commenter says Silksong was $20, another cites $100. Small, but a fresh angle for this week.
Switch 2 and re-releases: the wish list
~16% of this week's comments ask for ports or re-releases (Rebirth, PS2 games) and wonder about the missing Switch 2 version. A staple since June.
Camera pulled back too far
Only ~5% of this week's comments raise it, but with feeling: the character looks too small, and some ask what other fans think.
Top reactions and controversies
Art style: Dead Cells or Castlevania?
ControversyThe biggest divider. Critics see a "Dead Cells reskin", want pixel art or SOTN's gothic mood. Others praise the fluid animation and art direction.
The long-awaited return: "my GTA VI"
Dominant takeJoy, nostalgia and pre-orders: fans from the NES days to the 40th anniversary say they've waited years. The "this is my GTA VI" joke keeps coming back against the October release.
Isaac, Dracula and the voice cast
Dominant takeThe cast revealed lifts the comments. Commenters say the original Isaac and the Netflix series' Dracula are back. A minority rejects any link to the show.
Rose Belmont: a protagonist who divides
ControversyMany welcome Trevor and Sypha's daughter. Others miss Sonia, or find the "a girl!" line clumsy. A minority rejects a female lead outright. Sonia loyalists weigh in too.
Switch 2 and 30 fps: the big frustration
Dominant takeEvery video, same question: where is the Switch 2 version? The Switch's 30 fps annoys many, and some say they'll wait for an upgraded edition before buying.
Bloody Tears and the music
Dominant takeBloody Tears returning sparks excitement, but the arrangement splits opinion: some call it grand, others flat. Many miss the series' longtime composer.
