Public comments, quotes and analysis
To produce reaction summaries and debate pages, HypeTracker collects the public comments posted under tracked videos, through the official YouTube Data API: the comment text, the author's public display name, its like count and its identifier. No email address, no account data and no private message is ever collected.
This content is analysed in aggregate to describe the state of the discussion around a game. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): reporting on a public debate from statements their authors deliberately made public. We build no individual profile, do not follow anyone from one game to another, and never use this data for commercial or marketing purposes.
The analysed texts are sent to Anthropic (Claude models), acting as a processor for summarisation and translation, which does not reuse them to train its models. This involves a transfer outside the European Union, covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Displayed quotes are reproduced word for word from public comments, credited to their author's display name and linked to the original comment. They illustrate a current of opinion within a discussion, never one particular person.
Collected comments are kept for as long as the game concerned is tracked by the site, so that comparisons over time remain possible. Published summaries and debate pages stay online for as long as they are relevant, and can be corrected or unpublished at any time.
Named individuals
Debate pages may name identified individuals — studio executives, journalists, creators — solely in connection with public statements or decisions made in their professional capacity. These pages are produced automatically from the collected comments, then reviewed and correctable by a human. Anyone named may request a correction or the removal of the mention.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to the processing of data concerning you. One address for all of it: contact@hypetracker.info.
Removal on request: we delete any quote or named mention at the request of the person concerned, with no justification required. Requests are handled within one month at most, in practice within a few days.

Data sources and trademarks
View counts and comments come from the official YouTube Data API. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. Some artwork comes from the RAWG.io database. Game visuals belong to their respective rights holders and are shown for identification purposes. HypeTracker is affiliated with none of them.
Intellectual property and reuse
The texts, the structure of the site and the data aggregates produced by HypeTracker are the property of JBMS TECH. Reuse of the figures is allowed with attribution ("Source: HypeTracker" and a link to the page cited).
